- ALT INTV – Altitude Intervention (pushing the MCP altitude knob).
- APU - Auxiliary Power Unit.
- ATOG - Aircraft Takeoff Gross Weight.

- CDU – Control Display Unit (the pilot’s interface to the FMC).
- CLB – Climb.
- CMD - Autopilot ON (in PFD).
- CRZ – Cruise.

- DME - Distance Measure Equipment.

- E/D – End of Descent.
- EFIS - Electronic Flight Instrument System.
- EGT - Exhaust Gas Temperature.
- EICAS – Engine Instrument and Crew Alerting System.

- FD – Flight Director.
- FL CH – Flight Level Change mode (pronounced “flich”).
- FLARE - Flare Guidance (In Autoland commands pitch to reduce sink rate).
- FMA – Flight Mode Annunciator (the strip at the top of the PFD that indicates active and armed THRUST | PITCH | ROLL modes).
- FMC – Flight Management Computer.
- FPV - Flight Paht Vector..
- FSUIPC - Flight Simulator Universal Inter-Process Communication ( a module to allow external programs communicate with FS).

- GPWS - Ground Proximity Warning System.
- G/S - Glide Slope (vertical guidance of ILS).
- GW - Gross Weight.

- LAND 2 - Degraded Autoland.
- LAND 3 - Full Autoland.
- LOC - Localizer (directional guidance of ILS).
- LSK – Line Select Key on the CDU (usually followed by a number/side – “LSK 6R”).

- MCP – Mode Control Panel (the autopilot controls on the glareshield).
- MGLW - Maximum Gross Landing Weight.
- MGTW - Maximum Gross Taxi Weight.
- MKR - Marker Beacon OM, MM, and IM (a low power beacon in 75Khz associated with ILS).
- MLF - Minimum Landing Fuel.
- MTOW - Maximum Gross Takeoff Weight.
- MZFW - Maximum Zero Fuel Weight.

- N1 - RPM % of engine power output section.
- N2 - RPM % of engine gas producer section.
- ND – Navigation Display. The inner screen that displays map and course information.
- NDB - Non Directional Beacon.
- NG – Next Generation. Nickname for the 737-600 through 900 series aircraft.
- NO AUTOLAND - Autoland Failed.
