Getting Started with Participating

If you're here just looking for information, simply use the search box on the left side of the screen or click any of the menu options that link to official PMDG content.

To create or edit pages, use of the simple Wiki Markup language is required. This is very similar to the forum code you are probably used to using on AVSIM or other message boards to format text, except it's much more powerful here. The best place to start for learning how to use Wiki Markup is probably the How To Edit a Page article on Wikipedia. While some of the information specific to Wikipedia may not apply here, the basic and fundamental syntax needed to create articles is exactly the same. Wiki Markup can be as simple or as complicated as you're comfortable with - there's nothing at all wrong with creating an article using plain text - someone else with more markup skills is easily able to come along and spice up the article with tables, photos, and formatting templates later.
