What is this page about?
This page is a unique reservation for questions that are sometimes asked but for which obvious answers exist. In most cases, if you wound up here, it's because you skimmed through the README file, and/or did not read the INTRODUCTION chapter of the manual!
Since you didn't, we're putting this little collection together for you here too!

Why do the knobs and switches only move down or left?
The 747 (and all future PMDG aircraft) use a system of right AND left mouse clicks to operate most of the knobs and switches. A LEFT CLICK will decrement the knob/switch down or left and a RIGHT CLICK will increment it up or to the right.
To find this information in your documentation, look in your START menu, then ALL PROGRAMS, then PMDG SIMULATIONS. You'll find everything listed right there.... but you knew that, didn't you?! ;-)
I tried to load fuel or payload using the MS menu
DO NOT use the built in FS fuel loader! The 747 product contains the most complicated and advanced fuel system ever devised in an FS addon and you MUST use the PMDG fuel loader found in the PMDG menu to fuel the airplane correctly.
