How does PMDG handle Technical Support?

If you are having a problem with your account, product installation, or the software itself, simply email us at our main Technical Support email address (support@precisionmanuals.com) and one of us will answer you by email.

If you need to redownload a product that you previously purchased, then email us at: updateme@precisionmanuals.com

If you want to exchange interact with other PMDG customers and exchange ideas, ask for help or learn more about how to operate your PMDG simulation, then visit our customer support forum at AVSim

How long will it take to get an answer?

Email Answers: Our goal is to answer all email within 24hrs, but occasionally some answers may require slightly longer because we must forward them to members of the team for further review/answer. Our worst case scenario is that we may take slightly longer than 48hrs to answer you over a weekend/holiday or especially if travel schedules prohibit access to email.

During release times, support response may be slowed down due to the increase in e-mail volume. You can check the current Support Operations status here (look for CONTACT PMDG).

Forum Answers: If you have a general question about how to operate parts of the simulation, or need help with your installation or tweaking your setup, our AVSim forum is the place to go! The PMDG Staff are frequent posters, but there are many knowledgable users there to help you out! (And often you will get answers fast!)

Note that we cannot teach you to fly these complex simulations via Technical Support, but we have plenty of resources in the forum
and here at OPS.PRECISIONMANUALS.COM to help you learn the ropes!

Can I get help by telephone?

No. Our customer base is exceptionally large and geographically diverse. For this reason we handle technical support only via email. Email provides us with the flexibility for more than one person to be involved with the support of our customers and we find that our response times and capabilities are far better served for everyone if we offer only a single avenue for contact.

Members of the PMDG team reside in Germany, Greece, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Can I email members of the PMDG team?

If you require assistance, we prefer that you contact technical support at the email address listed above. We discourage contacting individual members of the team as you may reach them during personal time, vacation or during a heavy development period resulting in your question going unanswered. If individual members of the team wish to dialogue with you on a topic, we won't be shy about reaching out directly. (We appreciate your understanding!)
